Sevil Erciyas
After completing her undergraduate studies at University of Westminster in 2004, Sevil decided to teach, travel and flourish! She has worked in several countries, including Czech Republic, Thailand, Vietnam, France, England, Kuwait and Turkey. She ran a small kindergarten in Istanbul from 2010 to 2012. This is when she first came across different educational philosophies such as Montessori, Reggio-Emilia, Waldorf and Pikler. She had her initial Montessori and Pikler trainings in 2010. Instead of embracing a single method, her team and Sevil drew on the knowledge and philosophies of these key early child development theories to create an exceptional learning environment. The kindergarten was a success and is still being run by an amazing woman. Sevil has worked for big educational institutions like Pearson and British Council for many years. She moved to Berlin in 2018 with her husband and their daughter Leyla. Sevil is thrilled to be a part of Milchbart Books and Toys, selecting and offering toys which made her daughter happy as she was growing up.
Buket Ceylan
After finishing her studies in Business Administration , she had worked in several big corporate companies such as Coca-Cola Company, Hewlett Packard Enterprise etc. holding various management positions. After a career of 14 years , she started a family and moved to Berlin. She and her husband took over the beloved Kinder Café “ Milchbart” in Prenzlauer Berg and managed it for 3 years. As a mother of 4 years old twins; Ada and Kayra, she already developed an interest in different upbringing styles. The Milchbart Cafe gave her an opportunity to design and offer educational courses for families based on Montessori principles. She decided to combine her experiences as a mother and businesswoman to move the “Milchbart” brand forward and to offer families toys and tools which are fun and educational at the same time.
